Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our body as part of our skin and tissues. Terpenic's hyaluronic acid has a high molecular weight and among its properties stands out its ability to retain water, up to 1000 times its weight in water. It has an extraordinary flash effect: fills in and smoothes out wrinkles. Leaves skin smooth and overall firming.

Hyaluronic acid is soluble in water, so it must be added in the aqueous phase of the formula, either at the beginning or at the end, as long as the temperature is below 80oC. It is used between 0.01% to 1%. It is stable at a pH between 5 and 8. It loses viscosity with the use of xanthan gum thickener.
