Xanthan gum is a hydrophilic thickener. Can be used directly with liquids. If we are going to use it with vegetable glycerin, we must first mix it and then add water to avoid lumps. Gels with xanthan gum tend to thicken a little more over time.
The xanthan gum thickener must be added in the aqueous phase. It can be heated, it will even help with its dispersion. Its use between 0.1% and 2% is recommended. To make a liquid soap we must use between 0.5% and 1.5%.
